Option # 1
Start the day at the Old City -Dung Gate to visit the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa mosque to see from the outside as it takes a very long time to queue to get entry tickets (optional). Exit to ST. Stephens gate to ST. Anne’s Church and Pools of Bethesda then proceed to the Via Dolorosa by visiting the Church of Flagellations and Condemnations-Way to the cross to the Holy Sepulchre. Walk to Mount Zion through the Armenian Quarter to Dormition Abby the Upper Room, then tomb of King David ST. Peter of Gallicantu.
Option # 2
Proceed to the Mount of Olives- Church of the Ascension-Church of Pater Nostra- a view of the Old City of Jerusalem, then walk down to the Dominus Flavit Church where Jesus wept, down to the garden of Gethsemane to the Church of all the Nations to the Rock of Agony. (optional visit) to the Tomb of Virgin Mary and next to it the Cave of the Betrayal. In the afternoon visit Ein Karem Church of Visitation, the birth place of John the Baptist or to the Yad Va Shem (the Holocaust Museum) or to the Israel Museum to see the Model and Shrine of the Book.
