Tour Details
We start our sightseeing day in Bethlehem by visiting the Church of Nativity to the place (cave) where Jesus was born. Then descend to the two roomed cave where St. Jerome lived for 30 years translating the bible from Hebrew and Greek into Latin. From there we move to visit the Caves of the Holy Innocents containing the bones and skulls of the children massacred by Herod the Great . We go outside the Church of Nativity where to left lies the chapel of the Milk Grotto where the holy family took refuge during the massacre of the innocent and before fleeing to Egypt . While the blessed Virgin Mary rested and fed her child , some drops of milk fell to the ground and changed the colour of the rock from pink to white. Drive to east towards the town of Beit Sahour to visit the caves where the angel announced the birth of our Lord to the Shepherds that were keeping watch over their sheep. Lastly we drive to Herodion to visit Herods palace and his burial site.
